This is straight up the most futuristic race we’ve ever done. A mid-engine, twin turbo, C8 Corvette with an triple piggybacked ECU (driven by our pal Ms. Emelia Hartford) versus a mystery man in an electric Porsche Taycan that says it’s turbo, but it has no turbos. It’s also one of the best drag races we’ve ever had.

Hey, his car is actually pretty damn fast for how much it weighs. If he has the potential of beating the fastest c8, he wouldn't need to buy a faster one. He could remove some things off that car to make it lighter and much quicker

Well, there's a Turbo S with 80 more HP that's different by one component. With electric cars, the power you get is limited by cooling. But in drag racing, you can drive now and cool later. I'm not saying the dude could do that himself, but look at Rimac: that company started with the motor from a milk float beating proper drag cars, because the owner could't afford to replace the V8 he blew up. Now they make 2000 HP electric cars that go sub two to 60.

She has worked countless hours modding her car, tuning her car, selecting parts for her car, work with manufacturers to fab first run parts, the list goes on. Whereas the Porsche is straight off the dealer lot. I could go buy that Taycan and sit down and race anyone with it too.

Haha to be fair the guy could buy the Taycan turbo S. That car does 0-60 in about 2.4s (real world figures) and is 761HP on launch. Her top end is still crazy though. Respect to both cars.

I really like Emelia. Impressive in so many ways. Loved watching her evolve the Corvette (fires and all). Maybe she can return with her own electric, perhaps a Tesla plaid, plaid S, or the 2nd gen roadster. Taycan will not win that in any way. 1100 HP on the Plaid S. quarter mile in the high 8's. Torque not known yet, but given other of their cars probably higher than hp. I'd love to see her get one and then figure out a way to mod it.
