Nice job, however, even if you are on a budget, after porting, did you fit the lapped valves back in & fill up each port with dyed liquid & measure liquid volume from each ported liquid volume to ensure that each port volume was even for even flow & even exhaust gas temperatures ?

Work looks nice,,,,,,,, Perhaps back up your work with a bench flow test before and after?........... love to see that!!!! , with your 5 to 10 hp claims ? what does a hand polish from you cost? Maybe even a before and after dyno run? or lets see the runs your putting this head on and and see what this 1000 does, after your magic touch?

Question will the 2017 gsxr 1000 head fit on the 05-08 gsxr 1000. Has anybody looked into this application 🤔 if you could then im thinkimg you can use a standalone ecu system too control the VVT cams

No. The cylinder c-c is bigger on the 2017-2022 heads. You can use the 09-16 head though, you just have to relocate the oil drainage from the head.
