I recently replaced the dry rotted bellows on my porta potti for the '88 Sea Ray 230, but was quickly disappointed by the quality of the replacement part I received.

Replacing that bellows pump seems simple enough, but I'm not sure of the whole design. Those pumps are expensive for what you get.

None of these toilets are without problems forever. Mine is piston pump and now is sucking air when i pump even though the fresh water tank is full. Hmm..

You can rebuild that pump with a new ''o'' ring. That will fix your problem with your pump.

Was it an original part or some rubbish copy? Why did you get it online instead of supporting your local suppliers? If you had bought local you'd have a bit of comeback instead of dealing with a foreign company that may not honour any warranty that the part may (should) have had.

I believe it was a rubbish copy. I purchased online because I had no local suppliers. I would have very much preferred to deal with a local supplier, but traveling ~42 miles in one direction to reach one was not my first choice. I suppose getting a quality part though would be worth the 2+ hour drive.
