Guys why are you worried about DC charging? He has used Nokia battery and using Nokia charger ...finish... its simple and absolutely correct thing to do . Good job Nissar bhai.

Those who are trying to build this use li ion battery charging module. Do not charge li ion battery directly with dc. Battery will bulge and explode. Be safe. Nice build by the way.

hi ☺️ , accha banaya apne 👌👌 i liked ur build. but take notice thay u r using li ion cell. charging it directly by a dc supply may be unsafe and also may not charge battery properly. u should use li ion charging module like TP4056.so battery should not be dischrged too much and overcharged.

Nice video end very good point about charge discharge but not sure the TP4056 can help with the discharge as the output is 5V? An option with the TP4056 may be maybe with 2 LEDs in series at 2.5V per LED + 2 in paralell? but not sure about brightness and if the tin foil would be enough for disipating heat

You are right in terms of charging the cell, although if you want to protect the cell from discharging, as it has a 5V output, you then have the option to put 2 LEDs in series (they would need 6V) so a bit short if you give 5V. So not sure if the brightness would be the same with 5V than with 6V, it is a question of trying :)

Nokia charger was meant to charge the battery inside the phone where it controls the charge, the charge control tab on the battery was not connected. So no it is not a good idea.
