In this video I build a portable mineral feeder for my rotational grazing operation. Additionally, I discuss the dimensions of the project as well as the correct size for the number of animals in a herd.

Thanks for the video. I like the design. I wanted to let you know that your flag is hung incorrectly. When hanging vertically you should be able to rotate it horizontally and it display correctly. You have it in a sign of distress, as when you rotate it, it would display upside down, or in a sign of distress.

what did you use for the rubber, any idea how thick it is? im in a state of sticker shock for silicone rubber and even used conveyor belting.

It has always amazed me that some people build things to help livestock such as this feeder and use Poisoned chemical treated wood for them to lick on:::Suggestion--use Missouri cedar or Osage Orange/ Hedge wood to make it out of:: it will last 50 years

I was thinking the same thing. I don't want my animals eating or drinking out of plastic or chemical treated wood.

I have trouble with seeing what significant improvement in performance they provide for the additional money and trouble of delivering and inventorying all the different elements versus a single mineral source.
