Wanting to have solar in my small yard without mounting on the roof I decided to build a portable solar rack . In this video I show you how I built it!

REALLY great idea for portable solar panes. Keeping it all lightweight so that you can just come out and move the entire base instead of each panel individually.

Beautiful! Thank you. I have 3 PV200 Bluetti panels but I’m not sure they can stay in the weather.

Bluetti's PV series solar panels have a water resistence rating of IP65. They can withstand light splashes and perhaps a light rain. These panels are geared more for portability and short term use; for example, camping or blackouts. Exposing them to sun 365 days a year, however, will greatly shorten their life. The more these portable panels age, the less waterproof. Rigid solar panels are not only cheaper but more durable. They typically have an IP rating of 68 and can easily last 10 years exposed to the elements. Ecoflow now offers a rigid 100 watt panel for $100.00 (sold in pairs). Jackery now makes an 80 watt rigid panel. Most likely Bluetti will soon follow and release their own rigid solar panel.

What about building department inspectors wanting a building permit for your construction. Where I live (in Florida too), they want only certified solar electricians working on these set ups. Any thoughts helpful thoughts? Otherwise -nice build!
