Great video. 2 points based on my experience. 1) Use the stick to open by placing it at the location of the oarlocks. That spreads it open the widest. 2) Step 3, transom; Grab both arms at the same time, pull up and swing back together. This prevents binding and promotes easy hole alignment. If you lose any of the hardware, large nails work well for seats, and 1.5 inch eyed bolt and nut are extra secure way to lock the transom arms. Warm weather facilitates opening the boat; do it seveeral times in a row to lose some of the stiffness.

How durable is this boat? Can it wear out over time at the folds? Everything about it looks very flimsy.

@@elderlord5164 I have used/open/closed my boat 8-10 times a year since 2014. Draged it down concrete ramps, over sharp rocks; i've got minor scratches but all seams are like new, no leaks. It has sat on a beach every summer since 2000. No, it is NOT flimsy, PS, I weigh 310 #, so I put it to a good test; flyfishing. I switch rear seat to middle seat use frequently; ie I stand up and change my butt location depending on where I want to cast.

Nice 2 c improvements. Is that transom brace available for older version?

Is this like a folding kayak where they wear out at the folds over time? I don't like that it uses a bungee cord to hold the bow together. Bungee cords don't last forever. Not even close. Everything about this boat looks so flimsy. It doesn't look like it would last long. Does anyone own this? Is it any good?
