Yes, and it appeals to who he probably perceives his real fanbase to be, which are people his age who grew up as gamers. The sound of a mic like that brings back memories of playing Xbox LIVE in the earliest days when everything was really shitty, especially sound quality, so it adds nostalgia value for sure. 2 cents.

His buddy is the reason Dunkey is even where he is now. Pbat started playing with Dunkey when Dunkey only had 300 subscribers and no one knew him. He got famous when they started making 'Good meets Evil' series on Pbat's channel, after which Dunkey grew more and more popular. I'm not implying that Dunkey wouldn't have become big if it weren't for Pbat, but Dunkey is still really good friends with him and he has never let fame rise to his head, which makes me respect Dunkey even more
