Portal - secret SSTV radio transmissions

After update in March 2010 Valve included a secret into the original Portal. There's a radio in each test chamber, if you get a radio and find a place where the music changes to some noises, you get an achievement. Many of you probably have read about this secret. The noises are: Morse code and SSTV still images which are MD5-hashe of the BBS-number with login and passord, they can be used to access the "aperture labs" server and get a lot of ASCII-images. These images introduces the next game to be announced - Portal 2.
My video shows what to do with sstv-noises when you receive them. Of couse you may extract the sound files from the game (dinosaur wave files), but this method is more interesting.

I just learned about SSTV today and I remembered the portal radios sounded like SSTV. Brilliant work, and well done to the devs!

It's just scotie1 analog slow scan television. Everything in life is audio, in one form or another, you can just hear it in the game.

i know this has been around for 5 years but is it just me or the more radios you position make more lights turn on at the end of the game with the cake?i only did a few and more lights appeared. im stuck with test chamber 3 no clue where to position the radio to trigger the signal.
