I like this version a lot more then the orchestra version because This chicks voice is much simpler and brighter than the robust and heavy toned lady. Id still just listen to glados tho :3

Several... It was set to release in 1998. But the creators felt they should wait for the Unreal Engine, so they pushed it to 2000. Then they again seen a new game engine, and pushed it to 2003. After 2005 I beleive they just stopped working on it because money issue, and then they bankrupted in 201x. Don't remember the exact year.

They aren't comparable because they're totally different games. I would agree that Half Life is a "generic" shooter since we've had 21 years of CoD, Battlefield, and etc. but back in 1998 there weren't a lot of shooters. Plus Half Life was revolutionary so it's kinda cheeky to call it generic.
