I will say, the outside areas of this are designed *very* well for a portal 1 mod

I like to imagine that if this were real, this entire process of events to get the companion cube far beyond it's chamber was how Doug Rattmann got his own Companion Cube that he carries around, and he marked the path to do so to help all potential future cube lovers out. Don't ask me how he would have known about seam shots or portal bumping, I don't think even he would have known why or how.

I'm such a noob, I tried to play portal like this not realizing this was a modpack. silly me.

i clicked on this expecting a glitched run of portal that lets you keep the companion cube but this is so cool it's like seeing what the maintenance rooms behind the test chambers could be like

they should really make an achievement for saving the companion cube if it did exist i would name it companion till the end

I remember getting the cube past the fizzler on my old xbox 360 thanks to cheat codes on the orange box. Good times. Had a lil cc plushie as a kid too which i might still have.

i know this is made up but really cool concept. also checked before, for fun, you can just put a normal cube in the incinerator and theyll think you put the companion cube there.

I sometimes take the cube from the rocket turrent intro to the end, although I could never bring it into the boss room even with cheats. Maybe a portal bump like the one at 11:59 could work?

As I did follow your video, I tried to get into the outside room in portal RTX. But that’s completely different texture of the door which is actually a fake door you can’t open cuz this RTX game is already modified whereas original game is real.

Simply astonishing. I had no idea you could turn off the emacipation grid on those levels. Heck, I didn't even know those back areas existed for those levels. Even after all of these years, I'm still learning things about Portal 2. Kudos!

*I TRIED, AND THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE WITHOUT MODIFICATIONS TO THE GAME OR CHEATS* So after seeing this, I wondered if this was possible and actually tried to bring the cube to the ending scene outside of aperture right after destroying glados, without any changes to the game. But not the cube in chamber 17, the one in the other ending cutscene with the cake. And I think this is impossible to do. I tried to finish the game without getting the companion cube With some glitches, it is very easy to get out of bounds in chamber 19 and reach the last part of escape 2 (the end). There it is easy to get the cube, just clip inside the room where there is the cake, it is very noticeable. But after bringing it back, you need to get to the parking outside. And this is where it gets impossible. It is completely impossible to place a portal on the top of this "room" that is more like a box. It's not possible to place a portal on walls either, no matter where you shoot it from. Tho you can shoot under the floor of this box. Logically if you get through the portal, you fell off and get stuck. You could potentially wall climb (or prop fly idk how it's called) with the cube, but the thing is this room is weird and don't really have a ceiling. Well there is a sort of ceiling that objects collide with, and on which you can place portals if you activate sv_portal_placement_never_fail (which is protected by sv_cheats), but because you can't place portals on it without sv_portal_placement_never_fail, you couldn't clip into the room and then get the cube with you in the box. If someone's motivated enough, try, but bruh who's gonna even read that.
