Portal was one of my top five companies about 10 years ago. At this point, I will think very hard before buying another game from them. Company seems to be going through the motions at this point.

man, i can't even imagine all the stresses associated with the Robinson project running late. i'm so looking forward to dying trying to save Jenny over and over again😁no cheating with spyglasses!!!

Happy New Year! A year of challenges and changes. On to bigger and better things for 2024. I really appreciate you keeping everyone up to date on the different projects that folks are anxiously anticipating; I would hope that a few more were understanding of situations that are beyond personal control. I still look forward to seeing Robinson Crusoe whenever it gets to my door; life happens. You didn't fail; things happened. We learned for next time. Use it as a stepping stone. Portal is a great company and I am glad that you are there handling things.

Why don't you say that the delay is actually at least 2 years? And that in the English edition, because the other languages have not yet started production, as some files are still being tested. Hoping that it is true that the English version will be shipped already because almost nobody trusts it anymore.

Dear Ignacy, Could you please bring some light into the issues with the German RC Version? I am puzzled that Pegasus was presenting the BoA at Essen SPIEL 2023 but your team is still proof reading? That makes no sense in my opinion. Please help us to understand🙏

I'm glad you are feeling better. Much respect to you and Portal games. I have most of your games and love them. I love Robinson Crusoe and I'm looking forward to getting the Kickstarter to arrive. Great news and updates! One small suggestion I would make as a camera nerd is to set your focus before filming where your face is in focus and then turn off autofocus. It was hunting a bit during the video/trying to focus on your face. Not a critique just a suggestion. I have to do that with my top down camera for playthroughs. Lots of motion causes the autofocus to freak out sometimes.

It's great that you share the good and bad with your customers. Keep at it, I was one who backed Fief on KS, and I waited 6 years past the estimated date...one year is better especially when you fix things. Good luck to you and thanks for the updates! I've loved portal games for years, and will make a point to get my old Robinson Caruso to the table soon...as well as my Vienna Connection! (totally love that game!!!) Such a great company with great people.

Great video, I'm glad things are on the up for Portal Games. I backed Robinson Crusoe, and I support what you've done 100%. I think you've done the right thing by delaying the release and getting things right. I'm looking forward to receiving the game, I'm sure that it'll be worth the wait.

A lot of people were holding off on RC because they were waiting for that complete edition instead of trying to hunt down a bunch of promos. I think my only regret is that I tried to piece together a veteran pledge instead of doing a fresh All In copy. It wasn't much more money, and I'd rather have had a second copy to give away or sell. When Firefly and Teotihuacan had their recent campaigns, I just did complete copies. It seems so wasteful to have a box of extra, mismatched components instead of a full copy that I can repurpose.

He says they are completing some e-proofs and are blaming the manufacturer for the delay. Sounds kind of confusing. Is the manufacturer to blame for the delay, or is it because the portal still hasn't finished the language versions?

I am a german backer of RC, and my gamestore already has a copy of the game from pegasus and it looks amazing. I am just sad and i feel betrayed. I hope this nightmare will end soon. Best wishes

Saying the game is 1 year late when it will be 2 years in Feb. and still no delivery date is why everyone is mad. With you misleading everyone in this video about the length in the delay and the horrible communication for the campaign is why I will NEVER back another game by Portal games.

Dude, there is always a risk with crowdfunding, and you accepted it. In my opiniom there is far too much hate, issues were communicated and Portal is not fully responsible for delays. Ignacy is apologising on every video for this situation and we should at least appreciate that they are transparent about it and fought to deliver best product possibile. Less hate... In the end we all have more games that we are able to play, so play boardgames and wait for Robinson, it will come :) peace...

Dude… he says it’s a year late when it’s really been 2 years late in February. He is misrepresenting the amount of the delay to make them sound better. The communication also has been horrible. We still don’t have an actual time line on when this will be delivered. I understand delays on kickstarter but he gets the hate because of the misrepresentation and communication.

@@JohnnyMcNabb63dude take a deep breath, it's not that serious. I dont believe he is intentionally lying about something that is so well known. Everyone knows how delayed this was, even people that didnt back it. Was it a well run campaign? No. But I commend Ignacy for facing this head on when he could've just disappeared and left people in the dark like other publishers do when things get tough. You donated to him to make this collectors edition, in return you will get a reward, it's not a store, you are not owed anything.

I am amazed about people getting annoyed about Robinson... I know the track record for Portal has been better but, most of the projects that are delayed by 1 year I don't even blink about anymore

Robinson is delayed 2 years not 1 ! It was supposed to be delivered Jan 2022. On a game that is a reprint with miniatures and a new tutorial. Seems way too long for a game that is a reprint. That is why everyone is mad. The communication has been very bad for this game.
