Very interesting about what you were saying with the tuning. I’ve got one of those “Chainsaw Chainsaws” lol it’s the red one with the translucent fuel tank and it’s got two bar studs. It’s a little bit different than those John cutters but anyway it fires up good it idles good when it’s cold and then I would cut with it. It cut pretty good for what it was, but then it was an erratic idle that I could not tune and had the exact same experience trying to get it right as what you just explained I’ve also heard other people say the exact same thing with tuning these. I tried a few different things and I had an improvement but still the erratic idle and finally tonight I’ve got it running pretty good I wouldn’t say 100% but it’s close but I went and made two changes at once some thing I never do so now I’ve got to go change one of them back to figure out which one of the two was causing the problem lol. It passed the pressure in Vac test , I had to carb apart a couple of times I’m looking for a carb kit for this thing. I’m trying to identify it, but I cannot find any brand carburetor that is the same as this one. It’s like it’s its own design. I made about 10 cuts with it and finally have it idling without it jumping all over. I’ll report back when I find out what change I made to make it run right. I thought the build quality was pretty decent for a cheap saw, but I know they’ve been building these things for about 15 years so I’m sure they’ve come along way.

They are pain in the ass to read the timing wheel with the way they are made, there are many different types of motors sounds like you got the one I hated the most had to take some off the piston skirt to make it rip😎 cheers for video

Pretty sure they are all the same copy. The joncutters seem to be close to the best quality of them all.

@@bryantitus6634 they are close ....besides cosmetics the only difference i see is the bar nuts... 2 vs 1

There are 2 differences actually between the 1 bar stud and the 2 bar stud. 1 of course is the studs. 2 is that the muffler has no internal baffle on the 2 stud. The c single stud is the more gutless of the 2. I was quite impressed when I got the 2 stud.
