Shelter tells the story of Rin, a 17-year-old girl who lives her life inside of a futuristic simulation completely by herself in infinite, beautiful loneliness. Each day, Rin awakens in virtual reality and uses a tablet which controls the simulation to create a new, different, beautiful world for herself. Until one day, everything changes, and Rin comes to learn the true origins behind her life inside a simulation.

I had to cry really hard because it reminded me of my young daughter who passed away a year ago. Especially as a young dad in my early 20s, it's quite challenging, but this video somehow gives me hope. Knowing that she is somewhere as safe as depicted in this fantastic short film.

Those words will forever stay with me. Trust me, even if they act cold to you or get annoyed when you tell them you love them. The nostalgia.. I remember listening this in highschool since my thoughts keep telling that I dont have a chance to my high school crush. She is popular in our school and a beautiful lady that is joining pageants while me is a guy that is social anxious that couldn't even talk to people heck im not even smart, all I can do is admire her from afar. I have an idea in my mind that I would confess to her personally before our last day of school but sadly pandemic strucks. The 1 week of suspenison in school become 3 years.. Actually, if you look at the schematics that her father was drawing up, Rin was 7 when she went into VR stasis. The fact that it says in the description that Rin is 17, and the days since the last message was received on her tablet was just a bit over 7 years, we can deduce that she was getting some sort of messaging or information from Earth for about 3 of those 10 years she's been in Shelter. So either she was simply out of range of any incoming data after those 3 years... or it took Earth (or at least humans on Earth) 3 years to die off after the impact of the gas planetoid.

not quite she escaped a colony from europa/titan or whatever satellite of jupiter that is and is heading towards earth how do i know? in her memories, a giant gaslike planet was approaching the planet or more correctly the planet was approaching it. if you check 5:33 you can see the ship flying towards the 3rd orbit which in our solar system is the earth's orbit. so basically she is one of the few refugees or maybe the only one from a human colony heading towards earth.
