Love the way people can remember what they were doing when they brought this album. My parents had gone on holiday and let me stay home. They left £120 for food for two weeks and the first thing I did was spend £90 on CDs and Portishead was my favourite. I managed to survive on £30 for two weeks, I don't regret a thing. Amazing summer.

I know who you are talking about (tongue in cheek) ... no, but seriously I agree, very well played, and that's what makes this sound as good as, if not better than the studio / album version. The notes sound so rich and powerful and amplify what we hear in the original song.

Man I was turned onto this whiel working as a mechanic at a bike shop, we got a new guy who brought his copy of Dummy on CD in and we listened to it several times a week. We'd just get lost in it, wrenching away, and before we knew it we'd have cleared the repairs and were cranking out builds. What an epicly fantastic album!

😂😂Universe is a weird thing Sincerily - another glory box I got this album from my dad, whois a journalist, i mean like real og goat... And i poppedthis in to my dads racket and withheadpjones on, singing my heart out(not hearing myself ofcourse:) He always laughed and shook his head to my dodgy vocals, but still let me sit on the floor reading that cd album inside cover and singing... Oh the nostalgia😢❤😂

I'm so tired of playing Playing with this bow and arrow Gonna give my heart away Leave it to the other girls to play For I've been a temptress too long Just... Give me a reason to love you Give me a reason to be a woman I just wanna be a woman From this time, unchained We're all looking at a different picture Through this new frame of mind A thousand flowers could bloom Move over and give us some room, yeah Give me a reason to love you Give me a reason to be a woman I just want to be a woman So don't you stop being a man Just take a little look From our side when you can Sow a little tenderness No matter if you cry Give me a reason to love you Give me a reason to be a woman I just want to be a woman It's all I wanna be, is all a woman For this is the beginning Of forever and ever It's time to move over It's all I want to be I'm so tired of playing Playing with this bow and arrow Gonna give my heart away Leave it to the other girls to play For I've been a temptress too long Just... GENIUS! Summer 1994, walking on high street Kensington, London. This coming from a record store. Went immediately to said store. Asked who is this? They're phenomenal. Portishead. I don't know them, but I want the record. We're totally sold out hours ago. FUUUUUCK ! Bought it in Soho some months later. One of THE greatest debuts EVER! Glorious days of Britpop too.

They need to reunite and give us another chance to treat them like the exceptional musicians and artists that they are. I would prepay for albums and I would pay to see a performance like this that is also professionally recorded and sold because I would want to see it over and over like these on KZfaq.
