The thing is, it doesn't show one side of a story. Many people don't want to tune into," There are many different viewpoints and reasons of why people are protesting". To capture the largest audience, media has to cater to the lowest acceptable common denominator. A bi product of this is simplifying issues for the most part to fit a certain worldview. Rarely is anything in this life black or white.
