Painting can be very experimental. Don't worry about much when you are not sure. Just put the color on the paper, if it is too dark, then wash to make it lighter; or if this color is too light, then add a new layer of the color after it dry. Be relaxing.

your videos are always amazing and really helpful to me as a beginner!! i was wondering, do you happen to have a video on color relativity? i found a video on your channel on how to mix watercolors, but what's difficult for me is CHOOSING which color to put down, or which colors to mix into my paint to get the right shade. i guess a lot of it comes from practice, but i was wondering if there are some rules to make it easier? like, sometimes you suddenly put blue on top of brown hair! or purple on skin! and it works!!

I have a question...why don't you use paper to dry your brush?
@easilydistracted5192
@easilydistracted5192 7 жыл бұрын
Because squeezing a wet brush is like petting a squirrel. You appreciate how precious it is because it's soft. Actually I have no idea. But I like to pet my dry brushes already. Maybe I'll convert to squeezing them when they get too full.
@YongChen
@YongChen 7 жыл бұрын
Either way is work for reducing water from the brush. For me, using two fingers gives me lot the sense of more control in this process. Before each application, I know how much water I would need in the brush, and I can better sense when I use my own fingers than paper towel or tissue.
