This video touches on why we feel Real Estate in the Azores is still affordable, and why a lot of people are starting to discover these islands. We feel that the future is bright in the Azores & the rest of Portugal, but your plan needs to be analyzed & calculated.

I the case of paint peeling, we were told it is the salts in the sand when it is not flushed out properly, since it comes from the sea, and not in the cement. When they mix the cement with the sand it becomes one and then it blisters like that. We did a new build in manhenha and have had no blistering. Then again it was built by my brother, a master at his trade. Enjoy your stay.

That is exactly correct, Lucilia. I think the people/workers have the option to use higher quality sands, but decide against it in order to save money. It's good if you not only have an expert doing the job, but an expert that cares. Take acre!

I live in Fiji. One of the costly parts of island living is travel cost. From Fiji it costs $700-2000 to get anywhere off the islands. What does it cost to reach the azores?

Do you find your price assessments for what to expect for 70k, 150k, 250k are the same for Sau Miguel as well? Thanks!

There are budgets for everyone. The less expensive properties will need a lot more work. The island of Sao Miguel would have more to choose from. Not easy finding properties ready to move in for under 150,000. Cheers!

Thanks for the good videos. Do you know if houses usually have a lot of indoor air problems? Some houses look moldy in the pictures.

Thank you for watching, glad you enjoyed them. The houses that have a lot of humidity problems are the older houses built with thick lava stones or the newer block houses built by low quality workers. All this can be controlled & fixed with heating units, dehumidifiers, fire places and the most important top quality insulation. I hope this helps. Cheers!

Here they are, the 7 amazing regions of Portugal. The Northern region, the Center region, the Lisbon region, the Alentejo region, the Algarve region, and the autonomous regions of the Azores and Madeira. It would be great to visit all of them on 1 single trip! I hope this helped you! Cheers!
