Why is this album not getting more attention from media? It's amazing. But I'm not surprised. Portugal. The Man has been doing amazing things for years and people never noticed. 🙄

Been listening since 2006 when I was in highschool, I can't think of a band that has impacted my life more than PTM. This album is going to be a banger for sure, will continue to support them to the end.

Same! Waiter you Vultures was on repeat back in the day. Loved when they did the Oregon City sessions and played a lot of old songs on there.

I discovered PTM in a snowbank in 2014...A friend found one of those tiny iPod shuffles outside his house and he gave it to me. I charged it up, plugged it in, and it still worked! It had the entire album of In the Mountains In the Clouds...and I was hooked forever. ❣

Never heard of them before a few months ago (in spite of their hits). They are incredible, great beats, lyrics, catchy melodies; the kind of music that makes strangers ask you "who is that?" if they hear you listening. But i like GG Allin too, so who knows. Cheers

I would recommend checking out their older work, especially their album Waiter: "You Vultures!". They used to be this really neat, indie alt band that would skirt around prog and experimental stylings while still maintaining a lot of great vocal hooks and melodic, interesting musical parts. I like them still but they made an intentional and concerted effort to become more poppy in order to reach a larger audience. Not a bad thing at all, just an album I like to recommend new listeners to check out to really see where they've travelled through over the years sonically, regardless of which you might prefer. :) Have a great weekend friend.

That opening riff sounds just like Nada Surf, Popular in a different key. Which I’m not hating on. That’s another epic song. Or it’s some other song I can’t pin point but whatever I love it.
