Hello Helen & Tony, Interesting vlog with the life on a narrowboat. Life in the village area is not the same as it used to be. People on their phones, nobody out in pubs any more, where you used to meet up for the social atmosphere. So I see your point on the canal social scene. Hope all is well and did you try any of the places I mentioned.? Yarrow valley is a nice place to walk with the wildlife and there is a small cafe there, tree face. Also, Birkacre garden centre with a cafe and shop. All in same area. I need to de-clutter with the stuff I have. I will tackle that this spring, get my old jukebox on and get cracking and clod half of stuff out! Enjoy your week x

Hi my lovlies, thankyou for that insight, I definitely think there is more positives than negatives to living on a narrowboat. From what I've seen there's great community spirit, not just the alcoholic kind. 🤣 support from fellow boaters when in need. Water and scenery is great for mental health. And you both are a real tonic.❤
