Thank you for sharing your story and thank you moral medicine for continuing to source PFS sufferers willing to speak out. The denial of PFS existence is still massively prevelant online I hope this will go some way to stop that...

Last part about Merck, if they really want they probably could. But seeing how they operate hiding risks of the drug in a court case while the leaflet isn't changed much. In the end of the day it's a businessmodel..

I believe something is happening to all these men. I suffered with terrible side effects from Finasteride. But I can't help but notice that every man whose testimony I see has a full head of hair or doesn't appear to be suffering from hairloss. Why take the medicine?

It's recommended to start treatment as early as possible to preserve your hair. Most of these sufferers here had minor hair loss and did just that. The following paragraph is from an article straight from the "Hims" website. "The earlier you begin taking finasteride after you notice hair loss, the more effective the medication will be at preserving and protecting your hair. Finasteride is highly effective, but it’s important to have realistic expectations. If you have advanced hair loss (for example, you have obvious thinning across your entire scalp), it’s unlikely that finasteride will restore all of your hair."

@@Moral_Medicine I understand. I started immediately. Once I started shedding. But all these guys stopped the gun, and their hair is still good. I have lost 60 percent of my hair and counting. DHT sensitivity and AGA is not the same as senescent alopecia. Frankly, I haven't seen much, if any, signs of evident hair loss in any of the cases here. Not blaming them for their suffering; but maybe there is something to think about the role of DHT, the cause of AGA, and PFS. What if people not actually losing hair have negative interactions with Finasteride?

@@patrickr9931 indeed. And I saw at least two guys say they took the Finasteride preventatively. They were not experiencing hair loss, at least not yet. And, yes, every one says to catch it quickly, but even if you have AGA in your family, that does not mean you're going to get it. Again, not blaming these guys, but maybe there's something to it re: DHT sensitivity or lack thereof. Again, lots of hair here.

The thing about finasteride bringing out the existing anxiety out is very true. People who are overthinkers,sensitive and have some family history of any mental issues should stay away from fin, because for them this drug is brutal. 10 years and counting on pfs. Somethings get better, some not so much. The pre fin state never returned. Stay away from this drug and even if you have that thing in your mind that nothing is gonna happen to you, just don’t do it. I was the same and this drug basically turned me into a fucking zombie.

wish I knew this. I have horrible anxiety issues. Wish I hadn't taken this poison. Now I have every symptoms. How are you now? did anything Recover

@@tired_of_everything0 The only way to recover somewhat is to never give up and chase your dreams and you will keep surprising yourself of what you can achieve. Thing will not be easy for you and you already have yourself placed atleast 3 feet behind the starting line but you will still reach the finish line. Best of luck and never give up.

I also live (on the west coast) of Florida just south of Tampa. Did an interview myself, suffered PFS for 2 years. Went down the neuropath direction as well. Hope you are better man. Reach out to me if you ever wanna chat

My beard fell out after using it for 4.5 months. But it didn’t start falling out until 4 months after stopping it.

if a medication brings down the most potent androgenic hormone down by around 70% it will do something to your body, even for the people have no sexual side effects, the body just doesn´t waste resorces like that, it just hard to imagine that the body would produce more than two times the ammout of DHT needed for the body

It’s odd for a dr to prescribe it prophylactically imo. Even aside from pfs and other known sides there’s 2% incidence of high grade prostate cancer

you should have used it at 0.0025% concentration. that doesnt yield side effects. Topics over that concentration do yield sides.

Some of the symptoms he was experiencing came from the minoxidil. Dizziness, twitching, ect. The rest was definitely finasteride!

The testosterone cream he's taking is more likely the culprit than pfs. It's changing his hormones in a much more drastic manor and these side effects can manifest with that.

The test cream was minimal and i was doing it for years with labs under dr supervision. It brought my total test and free test to average levels at best. The only outlier was the topical Finasteride for two months that caused crazy muscle twitching/insomnia, fatigue and a number of other symptoms.
