This was Clark's best game so far in all aspects of her play. As a power forward, Boston would be a real force; she takes a real beating each game. The real need a larger center for Indiana is obvious.

A valiant effort by the Indiana Fever against one of the best teams in the W, the Connecticut Sun. I think the Fever will get their first win at Seattle and/or Los Angeles on their upcoming 3 game West Coast road trip which includes the final game on the road at Las Vegas.

ESPN reported that ONLY ONE OTHER ROOKIE, BESIDES CAITLIN CLARK (51 points, 17 assists, 10 rebounds), has EVER had 50 or more points, 15 or more assists, and 10 or more rebounds in their first three games in the history of the WNBA!!!! That rookie was Candace Parker in 2008. Only three other rookies have matched or exceeded 50 points and 15 assists in their first three games in WNBA history: Nikki McCray (1998), Sue Bird (2002,) and Candice Parker (2008).

I was pleased with the Fever's swarming defense in the paint last night. 22 offensive rebounds that lead to 11 fast break points. Team turnovers are still an issue as they continue working to find each other without much practice time. That lead to 22 points for Connecticut. A very entertaining game!

I thought the refs skewed the game towards the Sun’s advantage by not calling them for fouls that they committed. AT seems to barrel over people and never gets called. The refs were not calling the same fouls on the Sun that they were calling on the Fever-under the boards especially!

They are playing better. They are a young team and these are the growing pains. Clark is going to be a star once she gets around the league and gets a feel for the league. Mitchell has helped a lot. The offense moves much faster and she works well with Clark.

Boston playing with a'ja, gray, plum, clark, etc or Connecticut sun or most other teams would be a seismic shift in the league.

Fagbenle played in Minnesota behind Fowles and Brunson. She showed glimpses of being great before she went missing. Temi ain't playing much longer, she's up there in age.

Coach Sides made the adjustments she needed to make, she still needs to set screen from 40ft away for Kelsey and Catlin and if wheeler is in she has to flash from the baseline to the middle of the court, that can create a three headed guard attack. Smith is looking Soild too. They just need Boston to play her game, but posting her up stops the flow of the game. She needs what Clyde calls a baby jumper 8 to 6 ft away. She also needs to work on backdoor plays with her quick guards that can either lay the ball up or make a pass to a three point shooter. or back to Boston for a baby jumper. LETS GO Fever

CC is learning the game quickly and will be fine. She will take advantage of how the defenses are playing her. It will take time. I agree, CC will be a dominant player in the league.

Anyone who watches women's basketball enough would know that layups and put-backs are not as automatic or effecient as they are in the men's game. So I wouldn't kill A. Boston for the miss so mercilessly.

Indiana made their runs and came back and got the lead when CC left out the Game. To me it looked like the players been listening and reading how they not good and it's all about CC. When Kelsey Mitchell Plays at that pace she is hard to guard she might be the fastest in the WNBA with the ball in her hands. The team is more talented than people think they just have to find their style of play

Temi was amazing! If she can stay out of foul trouble throughout the rest of the season, she will be really impactful as a bench player.

The Fever players were very good tonight, but I think it was DESPITE Sides coaching not because of it. Sides genius final play was a Boston 2 pointer to tie instead of giving it to CC or Kelsey who are shooting great for a 3 pt shot to win? At least give the 2pt shot to Temi who was on fire tonight. (I like Boston & know she will get back to her ROY levels, but she's just not there yet) And why is Wallace playing so many more minutes than Katie Lou? Also, did anyone else notice NaLyssa almost walked out of the stadium when she was subbed out in the 3rd quarter? I don't blame her b/c Sides kept pulling her out. Every quarter, Sides pulled out two starters, including CC or Kelsey, half way through or earlier to make sure Wheeler & Wallace got more time. And she made sure both Wheeler & Wallace finished every quarter? Sides favoritism of Wheeler & Wallace continues to be a problem. She's got great bench players in Berger, Hull & Taylor but won't play them, so she can find a way to get her favs more time on the floor.

Berger and Hull rumors is they may be getting shopped. Celeste Taylor not played 1 second in 4 games. I would have her in over Erica Wheeler. She plays better defense and can hit 3's. She can run the court and catch the ball.

This game gives a fever fan some reason to be optimistic. We are three small steps from being one of the best teams in the league: (1) Boston needs to get into better shape so she can start making her shots with more nimble footwork, (2) CC needs to find a defensive identity and stop missing defensive assignments, and (3) Nalyssa Smith needs to learn how to catch CC's beautiful passes and stop fumbling them under the basket. Once those three conditions are satisfied, they'll be a top 3 team.

Temi needs to start over Boston. She is higly efficient, thinks quickly, grabbed offensive rebonds and moves very well with her team. She does the small things and hustles. CC is super talented but has a horrible attitude. That tech at the end changed the momentum.

Fever looks better, but they need to improve, hc needs to make changes in their role game, caitlin is so static, she needs to run-move more, cut, screens (she need to put screens) interior players needs to grab more the passes in the paint, theres a lot to improve, but i like them

Boston is a great player but the only thing that is slowing her down in her game is her transition from court to court is really slow she just needs to get into better shape to move quicker on transitions it's not the old offense that she's used to playing with last year it's quicker and faster now especially when you have Clark and Mitchell screaming down the court once she does that she's going to be amazing. Also might want to lift some weights a little bit to get stronger so that way you don't get bullied in the paint like she has been this year those are the only two flaws I see in her game.

IMO, when Caitlin Clark's rookie contract with Indiana expires after the 2027 WNBA season, I won't be shocked that the NEXT contract she signs whether it's a contract extension with the Indiana Fever or with other franchise in free agency, it will be the first WNBA player contract ever to be worth $1 million.

Let’s be real. Boston is only playing because of her name and past reputation. It’s time to update her resume. She is a shadow of a real player in 2024 and should be riding the bench in favor of Fagbenle. Also Grace Berger has disappeared from the rotation and she should probably be a starter. Boston’s primary issue is poor fundamentals and very slow speed and footwork. She hesitates so long on the block the defenders have more than enough time to collapse on her. Honestly on the final play she was so slow she couldn’t make a good angle to the basket. I would have felt better with Addison OGrady of Iowa on that play than A Boston, and that’s saying a lot.

Just too many long stretches of the game with Caitlin being missing on the offensive end. She should be averaging 5+ points per quarter. CC plays token defense. She lags back 4 feet to her player. But she is collecting the fouls. Most I never see. This is a very physical league with no fouls called on some of the big hits. Same complaints I hear about the NBA. Very selective in the foul calling. When Erica Wheeler is in the game, Caitlin goes missing.
