It's a great video and the way you've explained each things are clear and I understood well. I'm beginner to postman and my understanding is Post method is used to create new data in the server/database. I have seen some people using Post method to retrieve data that are already in the server to validate in api testing? Can you please let me know how post method retrieves existing data from server in the response body? If you have related other videos, let me know. Thank you.

Typically POST is not used for that but it depends. HTTP is just a protocol. I will soon release a course called API for beginners.

one question can you send for example 'address' would it still go through or just needs to be 'name,email,mobile'? i mean if backend developer did not ask for 'address' and you still send it, would backend developer see it there ?

If you send data that is unexpected, it will be received but ignored. In some cases, you could also get an error.

Salut Valentin, am nevoie de un nudge in directia potrivita. Sunt incepator si incerc sa creez o legatura intre 2 sisteme. Primesc eroare 403 in postman, si nu stiu ce sa ii fac si de la ce capat sa iau problema

Salut Cristian, 403 sugerează că nu ai permisiunea de a face requestul respectiv. Intră în grupa de Facebook (link in descriere) și postează câteva screenshot-uri).

Thanks for the comment. Forgein keys are a database concept and has no equivalent in APIs.

Yes, it will help. But you need to be familiar with the MongoDB API.

What exactly would you like to monitor? Postman can check a public API if it is working. Would that help?

I am not sure I fully understand your issue. Just put the Post request after the delete request.

@@vdespa i know but, iguess if i want to post something in httpbin.org i have to use httpbin.org/post, if i want to make a get request i have to use httpbin.org/get ??, i want to make a get request method with the data that i saved.
