This video is about the long process that I've been through to service and repair my Royal Enfield Thunderbird 500 after last year's tour across North-East India.
The bike has gone through a fairly vigorous overhaul over the past few months and now sports a new wiring harness, fuel pump and a second-hand self-starter motor. Other regular wear and tear replacements were also required, including chain, sprockets, brake pads, cone sets, cush rubber, bushes, oil seals and other such things. Front oil seals and fork oil was also changed as well as a casing in one of the front shock absorbers. Also, I've changed from MRF Zapper tyres to Michelin Sirrac.
It's taken a huge amount of effort and also a fair amount of money to fix the bike up to this level. Do watch the video to know more about some of the challenges I've faced and the ways in which they have been tackled.
I hope you find this video useful.
