I am familiar with English, British and German weapons but I have to admit that I don't know that much about French weapons, thanks for the info ;)

where's your source for this ??? the FM 24/29 was made by the french army and why would they want to replace it with the hotchkiss 1922 which was considered worst as it was literally among the guns rejected that led to the creation of the FM 24/29 ??? also heavier firepower ? how so ? in terms of firepower both guns are near identical

@@me67galaxylife Indeed the 24/29 was really appreciated by the troops. Indeed my mistake, I wanted to talk about the MAS 22 and not the Hotchkiss 22. The problem why the MAS was rejected is that it used quite the same ammo of those of the Germans and that it led to many accident while soldiers load the wrong ammo. Which led of the adoption of this beautiful gun.

@@yc2673 yes that was the MAS 24, which was modified to house the modified cartridge that couldn't be mistaken for german ammo with the 24/29 version

Loads of LMGs were based of the Czech ZB-26 and 28 guns This French one The Bren (name literally from Brno and Enfield the two arsenals that made them, Br-En) The Type 99 Nambu LMG used by Japan

@@maxkennedy8075 While there are some similar qualities to the Bren, at its core it is directly derived from the BAR action. Basically and improved BAR because well, 25 round top fed magazine, bipod, better barrel all made it a better squad LMG. The French almost adopted the BAR, instead they invested in themselves, and MAC designed the FM 24 instead. Effective, and reliable it stayed in service and even after, used for a long time. And it was chambered in a great caliber, 7.5mm had very similar ballistics and traits to the 7.62x51 NATO developed later

From wht i heard the FM 24/29 predates both ZB 26 and Bren by a decade

Quite the opposite and not immersive. People would just use it to spread their bs to the other side as well. There are already more than enough clues to find the enemy , radios chatter , rally refresh can be heard etc etc. Every action can be heard , you don't need to hear the enemy voip.

Ich muss zugeben ich hab mittlerweile am liebsten ein MG oder eine MP in der Hand wenn man von Anfang an Post Scriptum spielt und meistens nur seine K98 hat kann man die auch irgendwann nicht mehr sehen auch wenn es immer noch einer meiner Lieblingswaffen ist ;)

@@Tiger01 ÄHM......... irgendwie sind wir beide uns gleich ;), hab in COD UO und dem normalen Teil Meist nur MP/Stg oder MG genutzt :). Bei UO gab es dann auch MG 34 und Cal .30 M1919A4 :) zum Tragen. auch die BAR gehört zu meinen Lieblingen wie auch die Bren :D

If you dont life in europe yep its not easy to find a full server but if you are in the eu you have one full 100 players server everyday and 2-3 on weekends ;)
