Hi Mark. Thanks for a great video, it has given me a lot of food for thought going forward. I am new to postcards etc and am looking forward to growing this and other small ephemera and getting rid of my other stock.

Yeah, I just stick my cards in a sleeve, slap a sku on it and call it good. I don't think sorting them would help save time or anything. I do put a don't bend sticker. But it's because my labels always peel up on a corner so I use it to keep that corner down. 😂 I ship same day. It's not a huge problem to just ship a card. I don't sell a lot right now anyway.

Hi Again, is it worth buying the tourist souvenir postcards that you rip out of a booklet?

Probably just average or below for some of those cards. I have sold cards that had the perforation along the edge where it was torn out of a folder etc. If they are new postcards they sell today, probably not. Everything will sell might just be at a lower price or take a heck of long time.

I changed up and went to trying to sell higher end cards as well as rppc. I post my titles to try and hit buyer searches i dont really care if im at the top of the first page, people scroll all day every day im not here to corner the ebay postcard market. My "buisness model" is im retired and i enjoy holding history in my hand and researching the cards. i sell postcards simply to buy other postcards and to have that extra money for a tabk of gas every now and then it truly is my hobby not my job. If i wanted to work i make alot more money in my retired profession of civil engineering than i would ever make selling $4 postcards. Oh and i use "what its worth" to help with valuing my cards, not the easiest but it is free. Enjoy your videos and listen to you while i am researching. Keep up the good work.

Thank you for your tireless contribution to our hobby Mark. You have really changed my life with my new passion for postcards. I joined the postcard club in my area and I list every day. Are you aware of any way to back up listings for an event where we lost some from an ebay glitch?

If you use Six Bit listing application I think there is a backup option. Also Ink Frog will backup.

sixbit holds all your listing on your computer so you always have them A bit pricy but with the templates and the ability to relist a year later its great

I like your intro, Mark. People lost their minds in 2023. Opt in, opt out, turn on, turn off. Trying to "jostle" the algorithm. It reminded me of Fonzie hitting the jukebox to start the music playing. Except none of us are Fonzie. Hopefully all that eBay voodoo nonsense yields to common sense in 2024.

Is there a way to print on demand at your home these postcards? Like a website that charges you to use their pictures for postcards?

I have never looked into the printing a copy vintage postcards, maybe someone else can speak to it. My opinion I will never do that as they will be reprints of original Postcards.

I like the beard, Mark! I’ve thought about what happens after 60,000 too even though I’m much farther away than you. Would you consider opening a second store with a different account? I’ve seen some sellers do that, and it would be much cheaper per month.

Well beard was short lived! :) A second store was another option, but I have decided 1 full store is good enough for me and what I want to do going forward.

Thanks Mark! Great video! Today was the first time that I have actually looked at your Ko-fi store. I am going to have to go research ko-fi. I am curious about your lots.... How often do you post new ones? Are they always specific or do you ever post quasi random or mystery listings? One thought on your video today. I like watching your long video every week but... If you posted smaller videos with more specific titles... maybe it would be easier to find specific content? Maybe it would help with the KZfaq search function?

I put up lots in KO-FI randomly I just pull cards out of boxes and lot them up. If my sorting trays get full I will pull and lot those up also. I have tried shorter videos in past and just never got traction like the longer videos have.
