Summary : As you probably know we have hard palate , soft palate.. The soft palate is further divided into immovable (toward hard palate) and movable (posteriorly).. ---> so the sequence is ,hard palate ,immovable soft palate , movable soft palate... Now when you make the complete the denture you wanna seal the posterior area , but where do you extend it ? you extend it between two lines : anterior vibrating line , posterior vibrating line ... what are those ? - anterior vibrating line (between hard palate , and immovable part of soft palate) - posterior vibrating line (between immovable and movable part of soft palate).. you are welcome..

Clear as mud. Sorry doc. I think your video would have been way more accurate if you would have shown an impression with the vibrating lines properly marked taken from the mouth. Then with a cast, you could demonstrate ACCURATELY AND PRECISELY where the PPS goes. Having the lab use anatomical landmarks and guesswork to identify where the PPS goes, and the size of the PPS on a cast is a recipe for failure. I guess the types of PPS were out of the realm of discussion in this video. Perhaps in the future. Cupids bow-I've not heard it called that, but its an interesting name.

Simply put, land area is just the border all around the cast. It should be 3-4mm wide and sloped outwards. Landmarks are the anatomical markings on the cast.
