Today’s video will cover postpartum depression which is a form of clinical depression that can occur in mother’s after giving birth. The CDC estimates that about 1 in 9 women may go through postpartum depression after their pregnancy and childbirth.
We will do a general overview of postpartum depression to help you better understand the common signs and symptoms, what some of the risk factors for postpartum depression are, and what the general treatment approaches are.
Bottom line, if you feel you are or may be going through postpartum depression, YOU ARE NOT ALONE. Please speak with your loved ones or your healthcare providers to let them know how you are feeling and to help get you some support and assistance.
