I can just taste how good this is I have Pakistani neighbours and there food is amazing so vibrant and tasteful the flavours just keep coming with each bite the jar stuff is ok but when you have neighbours who can cook this amazing it’s a bonus lol sometimes they pay for the ingredients and meat and I do it straight back to them pay for the ingredients and meat and the meals are amazing god bless you all

Yes, it was. It can be part cooked or cooked through but not soggy/mushy. I find good quality long grain basmati that has been aged to be better choice and more forgiving.

I think the rice is soaked in water for quite a while in prep and absorbed water. I guess that's why the rice grains are about as large as cooked rice.
