His cannon looked weak to me.....I used to send golf balls across my road growing up. 1/4 - 1/2 mile away. We never found them. Trick is to use a large pill bottle as wadding to create a seal. Think my barrel was 2 inch PVC coupled into 4 inch combust chamber. Barrel was 3-4 feet. Grill igniter spark. Good times.
@Kai-Made
@Kai-Made 2 жыл бұрын
@@223justo we used the hair spray method and had someone give us like 300 old beat up golf balls...we found the wax rings for toilet seals really cheap(80 cents I think) and a little of that on each ball would prevent the need for a wadding.

Looks like most of your launches were with planes that were still a bit tail-heavy. Lots of mild stalling resulted. Also, adding deheidral (upward angle at the root of the wing, like a big, wide, almost flat V) to the wing would enhance stability, and get you longer, straighter flights with no "wing-over" in the middle. Great video! Looks like you guys had a lot of fun!

It seemed like the one that almost went into the water was stalling, try doing less elevator or moving the center of gravity back. It will go much farther if it can go straight, not going tip and down. Love your videos dude!
@maxk4324
@maxk4324 4 жыл бұрын
Wouldn't moving the CG back worsen the issue of it initially doing a back flip after launch? From my understanding, this flipping behavior indicates the center of lift is too far in front of the CG, but I mainly deal with rocketry related stuff rather than airplane stuff so correct me if I am wrong.
@dauntlessfpv
@dauntlessfpv 4 жыл бұрын
Not if you move it back a little bit. I would only move the cg back if less elevator doesn’t affect it. You are right that too much tail heavy would make it do backflips, so make subtle adjustments to it if at all.
