Potato - as per requirement (use low sugar, & dense potatoes; chipsona variety preferred)
Alum / Fitkari - 1 small piece
Oil - to deep fry
Salt & Red Chilli Powder - to season

I find that adding alum ensures cooking of chips happens slowly, specially the sides area, so that even the center is well cooked and is crispy. Basically slowens cooking process, and ensures the chips dont get brown or black :)

I tried this chips recipe today and believe me it turned out great.... This is the best recipe for making potato chips as the chips were crispy and crunchy both.... So try it once at least and you all won't regret The best part of this recipe is it is super easy to make and except from other recipes these chips are more crunchy and tasty Perfect 👌👌

just keep in mind that you need a lot of oil and you should change and trash it it every 40 minutes because prolonged heat produces cancer risk compounds. That's why I never deep fry myself, I can't afford a lot of oil it's not cheap in my country and I never buy deep fried food because I'm not sure how often they change their vegetable oil.

My mother does that same thing wit Alum or fitkari but she slicees potato and boils in to hot water until the get soft littlebit .. after boiling she keeps all the chips in direct sunlight on the cloth when it dries up in one day or two day according to temperature she pulls the chips out from the cloth and then she fries it 😊 believe me that tastes even more delicious the it is.

This took me back in time. I used to live by my own during my bachelors and while the assignments and projects piled up, weekends were such a relief. To treat myself after all the submissions I'd buy a pack of freshly prepared potato chips seasoned with chilli powder and salt..enjoy my free time while I snack on it and watch a movie when it rained. The best feeling, I must say.. Thankyou for such a detailed video. Also you look so cute!!

Who doesn't love a freshly fried, crispy, crunchy and spicy potato chip?! An amazing recipe you have shared with up Cooking Shooking! I would just add that when I was growing up as a little boy, we were NEVER allowed to socialize with people who cut their potato chips on the 'long side' of the potato. It was considered to be the work of the DEVIL! If we were walking on the sidewalk in my town and we spotted a KNOWN 'LONG SIDE POTATO SLICER', we were obligated to cross the street to the other side - IMMEDIATELY - in order to avoid possible 'danger'. We were all 'POTATO FREAKS' like that back in the early days! How the times have changed! 😂😆

Turned out great, I have tried it in mustard oil, oil was medium warm to hot, oil started bubbling after I added potato, I freaked out because I can't see any chips in it but I kept stirring the end result was good , thank you so much, and u r very cute, please make healthy plantane recipe video

You can put the potato slices in otg and drizzle with oil. You'll get chip like texture but much healthier
