Alright, so I like the dom victories, but question: why don't you just raze some cities so you don't have to dump so much time, attention, and resource into each of these cities you opt to keep? I can't help but feel it would be easier to defend a few conquered (yet "tall") cities over a lot of really small and comparatively weak cities. EDIT: forgot to say that I'm loving this series. Keep up the great work and wonderful strategy :)

I think my problem with domination or early tactical wars is that I am very impatient. I would probably have attacked Brazil earlier, but I would have had less infrastructure, less productive cities and fewer governors for loyalty. I'm currently trying to be more tactical and patient, I'm playing the long game with Shaka where I'm settling cities and founding alliances with cities and I'm at the stage where I can quickly churn out units and turn them into corps. I haven't even been to a war, but my goal is to quickly sweep over the ottomans (who are running away with the science game) and take/free a couple of their cities to cut them down to size.

You would of had the same amount of gold in 3 turns and still had another 143 in reserve in case Egypt tries to go war with you.
