Welcome to the Gospel of Yes. When I hear this song, and the back and forth with Jon as lead and Steve, Chris, and Jon with the response, I picture the spiritual place I would want to be attending services at. And that is all I'd need.

Surprised you hadn't heard this early masterpiece. This was the first song to hook me & pull me into the vortex. The bass and drum are just funky and guitar is wicked, meanwhile Jon is pure heaven.! bLiss.. mellow... SURVIVAL, TIME & A WORD from early YES

'A Venture' from this same album is a very smooth and chill 3:20 minutes of Yes genius. You're absolutely right Pope, Yes music is interesting. What makes it so is that it is spiritual, uplifting, inspiring and cerebral. It's intellectual music that only certain people like us really get. Looking forward to your next Yes reaction Pope!

Watch the Wonderous Stories official video for a very chill Yes song with all the incredible tasteful musicianship. I agree with the others that The Yessongs version of Perpetual Change and Yours Is No Disgrace are incredible and prove that these guys were the most talented dedicated group ever put together. They are more complicated and intense live and took time to create intricate collective soloing that all moves together. Nothing else like it.

I don’t usually like when rock songs fade out at the end, but it’s just perfect here. I know this is not an original thought, but I love to imagine that the righteous jam that was going on as the fade occurred… is still going on somewhere in this universe. Aaa aaa aaa aa aaa aaa aaa aa.

Yes on ice: 'Turn of The Century', 'And You and I', 'Onward', 'Madrigal'. However, for pure chill, check out: Jon Anderson: 'Olias of Sunhillow' full album where Jon is every voice and every instrument. Has to be the full album (only 45 mins) Jon and Vangelis: 'I Hear You now' 'I'll Find My Way Home' 'So Long Ago, So Clear' 'The Friends Of Mr Cairo' (one of the greatest, interpretive songs ever written. Especially if you're a fan of of old black and white movies and stars long gone (brings me to tears every time)). Jon and Kitaro: 'Agreement' Jon and Tangerine Dream: 'Loved By The Sun' Jon Anderson and Sandrine Piau: 'Chagall Duet'. (Operatic and beautiful) If anyone else hasn't heard all of these, please enrich your life ☺️. Peace and Love to you All 🙏

I consider Wonderous Stories and And You and I the most chill Yes songs (yeah, I know you did those already). And I also recommend you revisit most of the songs you already heard on the live Yessongs album. I think I mentioned it before, but And You and I sounds much different as Howe uses an electric guitar instead of an acoustic, for example. And if you want to continue in Progressive Rock, I recommend The Alan Parsons Project. Start with "I Robot" and you'll be looking for more. I can help. 🙂

Yessongs versions are fire, I would not call them "chill" but "Mood For A Day" and "Excerpts From Six Wives" from Wakeman would suffice. "Yours Is No Disgrace", "Perpetual Change", "Siberian Khatru" are all three, Yessongs Live Blowouts. Must Hear.

Loved this reaction, my young friend. It’s incredible watching your honest fucking reactions to some of the best music ever made, you have trouble sitting still while listening, I’ve always been that way. It may sound cheesy but for some of us, the fortunate ones, feel the music deep inside, like feathers of sound drawing across our souls. Music is the common denominator of love. Surely I’m not the only one feeling it so intensely. On the other hand, the many times this whole album played in my home in the evening. Loved it back in the early 70’s, love it even more now. Namasté ✌️🌙🦋💞

There it is my man some of the best you know it's so cool did you notice that one part where was really mellow and it had like a jazz flavor to it I'll tell you what Steve Howe he had a little influence there from West Montgomery you'll have to check out some Wes Montgomery bro see when it comes to the Jazz World West Montgomery is pretty much the king his style of playing he did this thing where he played an octave you know you play on one fret and then you skip two strings over and then two Frets up from there that's an octave usually depending on where you are on the neck and that's what West is it all the time you know he you could do that kind of sound and he used his fingers he didn't play with a pick but yeah when Steve Howe is done with his guitar solo then that keyboard part came in at really strange staccato sound. 1. 2. 3. 12 1234 5 6 12. 1234 and I have that very irregular rhythm I'm trying to portray it with the numbers grouped and then it kept repeating and the drums are going right with the keyboard and then the original theme which is a lot slower comes in on top of that and that's what's so amazing that they could play that shit at the same time that's like two things that are not even closely related somehow but they make it work and it just blows your mind to hear that kind of bizarre unlikely music and of course it's a start you got that really amazing augmented chord displayed on the keyboard and the guitar and then the drums come in with that staccato beat on top of it that's bill bruford for you man that guy was crushing it yeah he was in King Crimson I mean this guy is a crazy badass creative original drummer like no one else all right my man I will check you on the next drop
