A 6 volt battery should be used intead of power supply unit. Power supply will not give pure DC which in turn may effect to get steady null point.

നല്ല potentiometer ഇന്ത്യ യിൽ കിട്ടാനുണ്ടോ? 3months ൽ കൂടുതൽ വർക്ക്‌ ചെയ്യില്ല. ഇപ്പോൾ ലഭ്യ മായത് (elcon &china)

In this video high resistance not used. Usually high resistance is used to protect the galvanometer. For far away balancing point position, the HR decrease the current passing through the galvanometer.
