Thank you. This was helpful. Some I would've understood better if u were demonstrating. It took a while to grasp where you said pull the thread that's nearest to the project. Then I realized that is what I do. 😆 It is also less strain on the arm when I pull in small increments vs one long pull. Thanks again.

Any tips on actually threading the needle? I tend to use big eye needles because I cannot get the others threaded easily

How about doing a video about selecting chain for a project? I always struggle to select the correct style and size (Not the length).

I would like instruction on how to add thread to a piece. I tend to use long strands of thread because I don't know how to add more thread as needed. Perhaps this has been in previous videos and I haven't found it yet.

😹😹I have never broken my thread over the years but I have broken they eye of the needle many a time🙀🙀as a dressmaker and quilter I have always hooked my needle through the thread so that I have never pulled my needle off my thread when sewing but I have always used only one half arm span of thread when sewing any type of project and that’s because of the lessons learned from working with embroidery floss as it will only take so many runs through fabric before you must change out for new flossing to keep that smooth look on the embroidery floss I think because of this I have never worked with any threads longer than 18” at a time regardless of what the sewing project is. I have tried using an arms span of beading thread or around 5 feet of thread but I don’t like how after many many runs through the beads it starts to look dull after a while which means the thread has started to lose that nice coating it has. So I now only use Shorter runs of thread and add them to my bead work now. Since doing this I have noticed my pieces are stronger for it. I never pull on the Needle as this is the fastest way of bending the eye of the needle which then brakes the eye, but having said that the only time I pull on the needle is when I first pull it through the work which once the eye of the needle has cleared the the job I switch to only pulling on the thread. But alas that does not save the needle over time for me😹😹😹😹 as I said I seem to break the eye of the needle while pulling through the smaller beads 😹😹😹😹which means I have to gently pull on the thread to clear the beads hole of the other half of the needles eye😹😹😹😹

Hi Angela, are you using a beading needle? What size needle, which thread and what size beads? Getting the right combination of all three can make a big difference. Experiment a bit and see what combo works for your situation, make notes so you can remember which combo worked next time.

@@Potomacbeadco I have been using the Fireline based on 4lb can not remember how thick that is but I use that the most along with the beading needle size12 as I do a lot of beading with 15/0’s some times I have used a smaller needle the one that is in the small pink box I use to use John James all the time but I find they brake rather than bend these days. I have size 10’s and 11 beading needles but I like the feel of size 12 as I find it passes through the beads easier.
