This PotomacBeads tutorial teaches you how to easily bezel a rivoli to make this dazzling Hubble Stitch Rivoli Bezel. Use this brilliant bezel as a stand alone pendant or incorporate it into your own beautiful beaded creations.
1.Put a stop bead onto about 4 feet of size 6 Dragonthread. Using a size 11 needle pick up two 11/0s and an 8/0, sew back up bead number one. Pick up another 8/0 and come down bead number two. This is the first Hubble unit. Repeat the steps to form 12 units.
2.Watch the Hubble Stitch Rivoli Bezel tutorial to see how to create the bezel for the Potomac crystal rivoli.
3.Create a ladder stitch bail using seed beads. Connect it to the back side of the bezel. Reinforce the connection points to strengthen it. Bring the needle down to the starter thread. Take of the stop bead and tie the ends together.
The Hubble Stitch Rivoli Bezel is an attractive piece that you’ll love to wear and show off. It’s an easy way to bezel a crystal so you’ll want to make multiples in different colors to match all your favorite outfits.

Interesting use of the Hubble stitch!! How nice! You gave a very clear explanation how to attach the 12 units into a circle by previewing the bead numbers first for the thread path. That was very nice!

All three are so beautiful. I can't pick a favorite. I watched a video on Hubble stitch before and idk why but I just didn't get it. Maybe the fooze ball reference helped me understand it better. 🤷‍♀️ Thanks! ❤️

Thanks much for this Allie!! I'm not the best when it comes to bezels. I can do most of the peyote round ones but even they sometimes don't want to work with me. I've been wanting to try out the hubble for awhile but then a couple days ago I found this tutorial and thought I'd take the plunge! Worked wonderful and now I'll try it out on some other shapes! Thanks again!

I don't have cabochons, or other gems, but I do have some huge, flat beads that I have no use for. I used 10/0 and 11/0 seed beads, along with other beads I had on hand, and this worked well, to create something interesting.

I love this bezel! You gave a guide for how many delicas you should use depending on the size and shape of your crystal. I use this all the time! Have you ever compiled the same kind of list for how many Hubble units for different size crystals. I’d be really interested in that. Thanks… Diane

I have a question. Do you have to use miyuki seed beads or can you use toho?
@Potomacbeadco
@Potomacbeadco Ай бұрын
We haven't tried this bezel with Toho seed beads. They are slightly larger so the crystal may not fit as snugly. If you try this out with Tohos please let us know how it worked!
