Using a Potometer to investigate the rate of transpiration. Useful as a flipped lesson where students are asked to watch the video and answer a worksheet with questions related to the video.

4:44 wouldn't you also need a heat sink since when the lamp is closer to the leaves it would heat them more thereby affecting the temperature?

I don't get the point of the syringe, what would happen without it? The water still would move through the capillary right?

Without it, I don't think there would be a way of moving the water back to its starting point along the capillary tube to fully test the independent variable being investigated.

sarah Jensen it is a practical which can come up in exam questions though you are not required to actually do the practical.
