These are always so fun to watch! I was doubting the blue spray paint on the vase but it looked good! I would get the matte black spray paint as well. What a HUGE savings! Already looking forward to another vs. Pottery barn video!

I loved the thrifted candle sticks just as they were but I know you had to spray-paint them for the comparison test. They were so nice with the wood and gold and I really think they would have complimented the colours in the room beautifully.

Yay for you DIY girl ! That Thrift Store collection is right on. Yeah, candlesticks matte. Like I said before I played Junes Journey for a long time. For the same reasons. I would have left the thrift store candlesticks the way they were. It would have gone well with sofa also being it was brass and brown tone wood. Both set ups were very nice.

I liked the larger beads in the bowl. Although both were pretty; I liked the thrifted version better although the Pottery Barn bowl was beautiful bit for the price I liked the thrifted bowl. For myself I think I would paint the candle sticks matte sand colored just to coordinate with the pillows on your couch. I love your channel and ideas. You have a great talent in decorating.

Love this one! Definitely agree with the matte, and I really like the chunky beads. I did not think the blue was going to work at all, and then you did the baking soda thing and I was like "WHAT!?" that was a great tip, Leslie! I do hope you are feeling ok these days with your recent diagnosis, and I must tell you how incredible you have been giving Jason so much support at home, especially dealing with your own illnesses. I work with Teepa Snow, and I understand the unseen challenges and stresses it causes for Jason and you. As Teepa would say "take good care, with care."

I like the DIY one even better. Those chunkier candle holders are great! FYI, I keep a can or two of matte clear spray, for those times I want a matte finish and might be out of the right matte color. Just spray the clear matte over

Always like your Pottery Barn vs DIY. I wish you hadn’t painted the thrifted candlesticks, they were awesome with the brass and natural wood. They would have looked really good on your coffee table as is. I know you were just trying to mimic the look. I do love that PB textured bowl though.
