Thank you David so much information. I live in USA and it seems that only what are called seed geranium and Martha Washington are available here. Along with some scented. It's truly amazing how many pelargoniums there are. You put your heart into each plant grooming and giving to them. Such good work. Take care David blessing to you.

I use a sharp secateur and dip it in alcohol to clean it between each plant I cut back, or when taking cuttings for that matter. And use a pair of chop sticks in order to loosen the compost from their roots. I use the 'bonsai' method in many cases, cut roots and tops hard, and they do grow very well.

Hi Ken, yes I clean my scalpel and scissors with Jeyes fluid between each plant, it is very important. D

Hi David, any chance you might come to Australia to give some advice and workshops. Most geraniums grow a big portion of year and survive winter.

David what is the insecticide dip you used. Can i water the geraniums with this insecticide during the growing season to eliminate any mealy bugs ? Sorry im a beginner.

Hi Dawn, it’s Bug Clear Ultra Vine Weevil Killer. Yes you can use it as a pouring solution on potted plants but I always think it doesn’t seem to go very far using that method as the mixture is 60ml per litre of water and I think you would need a litre of mixture for a big plant. D
