Thank you so much for this! I’ve finally Found a community that I can relate to with my baby boy. He is five years old and still in a diaper. The good thing is that he is not afraid of it and will go and sit for about two minutes before he decides he wants to get off sometimes he goes and sometimes he doesn’t. He is nonverbal at the moment and communication is still tough but we are trying to make progress every day and enjoying every single little victory.

Thank you for your channel. I have a son who just turned 8 and I've tried so many times to potty train him. He just will not do it. He will not use pull ups either. This is so embarrassing. I don't know what to do to help him.

My nonverbal son has started to rip pull-ups apart and making a huge mess when he was between 2 and 3. This was an indicator for us that we need to potty train. At that time, we made him go commando all the time, which helped to determine his urination patterns. In addition, he hates, and I can't emphasize it enough, when he gets any liquid on him or his clothes. If even a drop touches any clothing, it has to be replaced immediately. We have since reduced this behavior, but at the time, we used it to our benefit. Everytime he would pee, he became very unhappy. We ignored that a few times and calmly helped him clean up. Gradually, we introduced a potty and knowing his urination schedule, we gently encouraged that option instead. Once he understood that potty allowed him to not soil himself, he started to prefer this option. The transition to an adult toiled happened almost unassisted. He would get curious about others using the toiled, especially his older brother, and eventually he decided to try it. Soon enough potty was no longer used and had to be removed. Currently, he is 8 (almost 9) and fully potty trained. His teachers at school sometimes mention that he almost never used a toiled at school. We have a routine for him to pee prior to boarding the bus in the morning, so he never really needs to go at school. However, when he gets back, he almost daily has to pee. He is still nonverbal.

I am in process of potty training my 10 yr old son I feel like he’s ready he’s been doing great when I take him every 60 min to the bathroom but I am having trouble on him telling me specifically on his tablet when he needs to go any tips for that ?

My kid is 9 and he has day where he will not use the potty. He will sometimes tell me he needs potty when he always gone in his diaper or before he goes in his diaper.

My son is 3.5 years. He has come along massively in past year. He is pre - verbal and is a sensory seeker. He has recently started using cutlery to eat. This is absolutely massive for him! We started potty training maybe 3 months ago and will happily sit on the toilet for an extended period of time but will hold his wee in even if it means he will be in pain until his pull up is back on. From today we are putting him in undies and rushing him to the toilet when he does something, we are hoping for the best.

The only thing is that he’s nonverbal he’s eight years old and I don’t know if he’s even understanding what I’m saying to him

I have been potty training for 3 years. She’s 6 and she is half potty half pull up. I did all of these tips but she still doesn’t independently go to the potty unless I demand or by demand and if I stop the demand she just won’t go. I noticed she got pretty comfortable just wearing a pull up and going on it and she will change it too if wet so I decided to soon start with just wearing underwear. I’m really nervous.
