Pouf was loyal to himself & his version of Mereum & that was the type of madness we needed. I didn’t read the manga so ngl I was hoping he would be successful in getting rid of Komugi.

@@nednetwork9361 oh, im not hating dw, imo pouf was hilarious, and the kind of complete non sensical debauchery and machiavellian charm this arc needed. Pouf was loving, Youpi was Honest, and Pitou was loyal. I adore the implantation of a Royal Guard in this arc, it really helped sell the idea of meruem as a king, and a sense of a different viewpoint seeing his morality falter and question itself. The character writing in this arc is so non shounen and yet altogether breathes on shounen energy it makes my head fuzzy trying to stay on point with whatever I'm talking about, I love this arc aaa sorry 😅 That being said, Meruem and Komugi interacting were some of my favorite scenes in hxh period so I personally wanted pouf to fail at first, but when shes not interacting with meruem for some reason komugi is REALLY annoying to me, so I totally get what you mean 😁 sorry for the long comment, I loved the video btw!

Even when she was with Meruem she was annoying. I was more into any scene with Knuckles, Pouf & Killua throughout this arc. Ahhh I was such a fan of Knov, I seriously felt like if his fear wouldn’t have gotten the best of him that he would’ve been one of the strongest in the fight against Meruem & the other ants. Seeing Youpi have a change of heart with Knuckles made me think that maybe they weren’t that bad, especially when Pitou was pleading with Gon to wait until after he fixed Komugi to fight & said he didn’t want to kill him but had to. I enjoyed the first & last arc but the second arc imo kinda carried the anime.

@@nednetwork9361 when it comes to HxH arcs, all 3 HxH experiences are fundamentally different. I despised Hunter Exams and greed Island in 2011 and adored them in the manga, and the 99 anime hunter exams are shockingly good. I loved chimera ants 1st and 2nd act but thought the 3rd suffered from bad pacing but in the manga I GUSHED over 1 and 3 and despised 2. Hunter X Hunter is so prone to interpretation and conversation everybody ends up with a different take on the series and its honestly amazing. Okay I'm gonna be real with you Knuckle and Youpi were rad, but my main focus that arc was Gon, Palm, Netero, Mereum, Pitou, Komugi, and Cheetah Man. Thought kite was a really poorly written character and a shitty ging fakeout till i read the manga and realized the series STARTS with him saving gon, and gon refusing to abandon a cub the way his father abandoned him, foreshadowing his darker mental tendencies (i.e refusing to accept kites obvious death even after seeing his corpse, not willing to let him go). I think this was a very Sombre arc, so it tried to inject comedy and less serious characters to balance it out. I hate most of them. Like I always say when talking about the 2nd act "Gon meets plot device and Killua meets character development: the character" in reference to meleoron and ikalgo. I also dislike welfin, and politician man who shows up again in the next arc. If it wasn't for Pouf I actually would say the lighter elements are a detriment to this arc as a whole. I think this arc is made for everyone, in the sense there Is at least one aspect of this arc for someone to vibe with, even if they dislike everything else. I wish the arc in the manga had more chapters...kurapika gets to be mc again, it's horrifying, the phantom troupe are active and its a race to kill hisoka, evil nen royalty with jojo stands. God if this were animated people would go crazy. Did I mention neteros son ,bisky, melody and hanzo? So yes my point is if you liked chimera ant you'll LOVE jujutsu kaisen season 2. Shibuya go crazy

I really loved Killua’s character development, especially watching him want to become stronger to protect Gon & others he cares about. Even with his respect for his dad, in the 3rd arc I was fascinated seeing them not see eye to eye about Alluka. I was upset to see Kurapika go at the end of the Yorknew arc. I really wanted to see more of him. I was glad Leorio punched Ging in the face cause man he was a damn jerk 😭 I did not expect to see Cheetu in your list lol. He was by far one of the most annoying. Palm though, i was more fond of her post transformation. Still loved Gon but she was stronger & I feel she was in control of her emotions. I’ll have to start the manga because I was slightly confused about how much Gon had cared for Kite. Bisky in her true form “training” Killua lives rent free in my head 😂😂😂😂😂

okay so great point made there! I feel as though he envied Pitou & Komugi but felt equal (if not superior) to Youpi, I noticed that when they neglected to speak about Komugi. His envy for Pitou wasn’t shown until the scene where Gon & Pitou were in the room with Komugi while she was being healed. He also proved that he would truly betray anyone for his own version of what he though Meruem should’ve been. A true villain, loyal to himself really.
