Enjoying my vacation, but my fingers are itching a bit, so I found these clips from earlier..😍🤪😅
Couldn’t help myself posting this, as I think it is super great by a factory to come out like this, since this prototype still is under development!🙏🙂
Must admit that I loaded it a bit heavier than normal, just to make them see the issues that we have mentioned after testing it a while..🤪😂 However, it will be very fun to see how the next edition of this ADT wil turn out!😋
The operation here, is cleanup after a 2 side double bench cut! This wasn’t a very large blast pile, so the main task here was to clear the rock wall for a new blast to be shot the day after!🙂
I thought that I could load out these remaining strip of rock only to one side, but since it turned out to be wider, it ended up as a parallel bench this one as well..😄
However, thanks for watching, and I hope that you will enjoy this one as well, even if this a bit shorter than usual..🙏😋

Outstanding the loading is just fine seeing and hearing the rock material hitting the trucks bed is awesome. I noticed these Doosan trucks were loaded with 3 scoops and I could understand that because they’re smaller 😀. I gotta say that in all your videos you have the camera pointed perfectly. I wonder have you ever had a project involving smaller to mid rock rock or stone cause I like to see that process also they make louder noises. Keep up the good work

@norwegianearthmovers
@norwegianearthmovers 2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, it is a bit smaller as it is now, but the rock bed will be made larger on future machines to come!😋 It is said to be able to carry +/- 41 tons now, but I would like the next one to hold one more bucket and closer to 50 tons!😅 Hope all my requests are taken care of, as they now soon will start the building of the next truck!🙂
@onagreencloud8577
@onagreencloud8577 2 жыл бұрын
So what’s the verdict on the 45? They seem more difficult to load as you have to be more precise each time and the overflow would become a nuisance. 4 passes and it’s full. The overhead protection on 772 is also invaluable and they’ll cope with 5 passes each time without issue. But I guess with all businesses it comes down to price and I bet the Doosan is quite a bit cheaper.
@norwegianearthmovers
@norwegianearthmovers 2 жыл бұрын
Hi again!🙋‍♂️Well, you are most certainly reflected around this business!👌 You are right about several things, and I do agree with you in most of your thoughts!😉 I guess that you can imagine that this DA 45 has a better accessability than a regular rock truck!🤙 You are right about the price, it is both cheaper to purchase, as well as it consumes less fuel per hour! The main reason that our fleet management chose to challenge Doosan to build this concept, is however more because the 772’s have a limited usage!🤭 They are to large for other tasks than just heavy hauling, and they also demands better roads as well as they have a limited traction as they only pull on one axle! Of a large truck fleet, they obviously tend to be standing still too much. So a more versatile machine like this DA 45 will run several more hours every year, and being more profitable over time since it can haul for smaller machines on other tasks as well!😋 This project is quite unique, as the entire area is flat, most of our projects are through a more variable terrain on narrow space. So it is not the best place to test a machine like this, but it came here non the less, to be compared to the 772’s and to be tested with a 390!😅 I would choose 772’s if it was up to me, since I’m mostly doing this heavy hauling! The overhead shade is as you mentioned worth its weight in gold to me, since I don’t have to think so much about safety in my loading cycles!😋 So the 772’s load more, and I do them faster per ton than I manage to load this DA45 per ton as it is now..🤪 However, the rock bed will be redesigned now, so the first of 5 pilot trucks is predicted to be delivered to us during September! I am very curious, and exited to see how it will turn out! It is going to be larger, and I have asked for higher side and front walls, as well as a high vertical shade towards the cab so I can slide in faster!😄 I would like better to have a fail safe if I’m not able to stop before I reach the bottom, I would do a lot of damage to the cab and swing link..🤭😅 I would say that they will be a great supplement to regular trucks now, and then when we see the final result, I will be able to judge if this is something that can replace our trucks in the future!🙂 Thank you for watching and for paying attention to details in what I do!🙏🙋‍♂️
@Adamsmithv
@Adamsmithv 2 жыл бұрын
So the main reason for this is the wider box for the faster cycle times? There are already plenty of 45t 3 axle adts. Isn't this less versatile than them? Or am I missing something?
@norwegianearthmovers
@norwegianearthmovers 2 жыл бұрын
Hi!🙋‍♂️ Well you are right there are a lot of other ADT’s already, and this is a concept built for higher productivity with a already versatile machine!😋 A standard rock truck like a 772, have a limited usage compared to a ADT’s. They haul a lot more materials than a ADT though, with a lower cost per ton! A regular 6x6 ADT consumes a lot more fuel, as they have a limitation of what they can load and haul, as well as they stir up every surface they run on. A regular ADT is very narrow in their rock bed, just have a look at some videos of mine where I both side and rear load the DA40’s! From the rear, I can barely fit my bucket, as I have only 10cm gap on both sides of the bucket. When loading from the side, I always have to adjust my stick not to spill my buckets on the opposite side of the rock bed! All this is reducing productivity, a wider rock bed designed as the box of a regular rock truck, fitted on a 4x4 like this, will raise the productivity over time!😋 They run even cheaper than a 772, now it remains to see what the cost per ton ratio will be over a longer period! Thank you for watching and for being curious!🙏
@Adamsmithv
@Adamsmithv 2 жыл бұрын
@@norwegianearthmovers I see where you are coming from now. All this time I thought 772 haul trucks were closer to 100 tons trucks but they are only 50 tons. Ive run 777 haul trucks and I know they are horrible in anything other than well maintained haul roads and are very expensive to run. ive also run adts and i know they are expensive to run but wasnt aware they are more expensive than 772 haul trucks. I see a lot of contractors in europe moving away from adts and going to tractors and trailers which are lighter and much cheaper. Obviously that is not feasible in bulk earthmoving. Its good to see some innovation. seems like 50 years ago when adts were first being developed there was a lot more innovation and unique designs. Maybe they should go back and look for inspiration from history.

Hi Ben!🙋‍♂️ Yes, we have been able to test it quite thoroughly now, so the machine is sent back to the factory for analysis after working in our production!😋 We have brought them lots of feedbacks regarding our experience with the prototype, so now the first of 5 pilot machines will be produced for us!🙂 I’m exited to see the final results, but I expect a larger rock bed with higher side walls, higher front wall and a vertical shade on top to shield the cab! We’ll see in September, I’m really looking forward to it!🤩 Otherwise, the ADT gives us a lot more opportunities, as it has so much better accessibility on rougher terrain! This ADT also have an awesome tight swing radius, that turns it around easily at narrow spaces!😍 A regular truck don’t master much of uneven ground, so it’s much easier to plan and predict where it can drive!👌

Is this Doosan DA45 original prototype from Doosan? what is the payload capacity is it more than 40 tons?
@norwegianearthmovers
@norwegianearthmovers 2 жыл бұрын
Hi!🙋‍♂️ Yes, this is a concept built by Doosan, on our initiative!🙂 Our fleet management is seeking a more versatile solution than regular rock trucks, and after considering Bell’s similar concept, they went to Doosan to seek new options!😋 It’s not that Bell isn’t good enough, but we wanted to design a truck within width and weight! Road regulations regarding wide and heavyweight cargo is very strict here, so my management wanted to make transportation as easy and cheap as possible!😋 The target payload on this one is 41.8 tons, but the rock bed is a bit too small for that weight.. We have averaged about 36 tons on this site during our test, and this has resulted in a lot of requests regarding changes in the design for the next machines!😋 I am looking forward to see how the fit pilot machine turns out, it is said to be delivered to us due September!🙂
