Yep. Meek Mill never put on any rapper from Philly, especially not someone with a resume who had a chance to make it big. When Meek was on top, Philly rap was down bad and still hasn't fully recovered. Before him Philly always had multiple big rappers. It's just like when Nicki Minaj was on top she never collaborated with female rappers and instead of paying homage to Lil Kim, she dissed her. When Remy Ma came out of prison and started making noise, Nicki Minaj allegedly tried blackballing her by telling events and award shows that if Remy is there then Nicki won't be there. So Remy dropped the diss track "Shether". Nicki's team even got that song taken down from YT within a few days after it had like 9 or 12 million views and it had to be reuploaded; it's currently sitting at only 2.5M views. The combination of Remy Ma getting out of prison and Cardi B going viral from _Love & Hip Hop_ is what opened the floodgates for female rap (I'm not a fan of female rap, fyi). Nicki had to fall for female rap to rise up, and Meek has to fall for Philly rap to rise up.

@@mapleleafkay9824 Sounds good until you realise I've actually funded a lot of artists that went on to do numbers, rappers talk shit about each other all the time then act like they're cool with each other. The only rapper that I can say is 100% solid was Yo Gotti when I was running around with him and his camp. Despite what people think, he never hated on no one from what I saw he was always trying to give cats opportunities. I can't say the same for other rappers who throw shade at young guys on the come up. I can't respect it, I wholeheartedly believe the smartest thing a big rapper can do is find the next big thing or hot rapper and put them under them, it makes them look good and solidifies their position forever. Drake may go down as the only rapper who can get away with not putting anyone under him directly, however, he still collaborates with all the young guys and gives them opportunities which will keep him around for a very long time. Meek was on the right path with Lil Snupe but since then he's been on some sucka shit that's the truth.

Even as everyone else rose, they would've always held her up as the gold standard but when you look down on everyone, when it's their turn, they're going for the throne. Now no one is even thinking of Nicki besides her core fans when they mention female rap. The moment Meek is out of the way, watch how crazy Philly will be. It's a goldmine for talent, everyone in the industry knows this but when there's a lot of hood politics it can scare people off especially industry folk. I don't think people understand you have street cats that you can somewhat control and then you have philly street cats. They managed to control Chicago rappers because they were young and looking for opportunity to get out, Keef, Durk, Bibby, Herb etc... From what I've heard and seen, Philly guys are organised differently. It won't be easy to control them out manipulate them the same way so for a lot of label guys it's not worth the hassle.

True, but just cause he was around don't mean it was his hood or primary hood because just like he said Meek told him he claimed another hood. Lot of people do this so it's not like it's uncommon and if they fall out with one one hood they have another to fall back on.

Meek has been tried in Philly one time over a watch back in the late 2000s when he was coming up. Bul that did that got what was coming to him right after. This whole “meek not from any hood” and “meek is pussy” is all new shit. You talked about Ab, but you have no idea what was going on in their beef.
