One of my very first uni friends did the same. Since we're from a south asian country, shy girls are considered to be better. I myself is an introvert girl and i don't talk to other people even if I'm in need of something. She is the opposite of me. So, I'm in 1st year 1st semester and my boyfriend is in 4th year 2nd semester. He is in the swnior most class basically. When she heard i was gonna meet him, she told me that she'd go with me. I was like, "okay, come. It'll be better for me to not be nervous in front of him." But guess what she did, she acted as if she was an introvert and later on she started talking to him so much, even he got surprised. She even refused to call him 'bhai' which means brother when i told her to do it. And after that he told me not to talk to her as she has lots of male friends and she is outside till 11 at night. I know guys, it might be normal for some regions in the world. But it is not that common in our country. I'm not judging anyone. Just telling what happened w me.
