@@everythangtexas the comal river is extremely dangerous. In all parts! Doesn’t matter if it’s just a foot deep. The currents of that water are so strong it pulls you down. It’s not easy to get back up. A man just died there not that long ago. Tons of people have.

@@nylahcouncil4639 I don't think anyone has ever died on this ride. The part that goes in the river is really mellow, and when the river part is open, they have lifeguards everywhere. In fact, that's why it's Always closed. They can never get enough lifeguards on this and other rides. Although cedar fair has closed the river part, which sucks..

Water parks are so disgusting they smell bad when you get near the locker areas and look at all the algae on the walls of this ride your getting that water in your mouth nose eyes that is no good.

Schlitterbahn west uses river water from the Comal River. It is taken straight from the river and returned straight to the river. No chemicals are added, so yes some algae growth will be present. The Comal river is a short river that is spring feed so the water is very clean.
