In this episode we shoot POV Street Photography in San Francisco with the Canon F-1 "New". We hooked up the ghetto go pro and strapped it onto the hot shoe of the camera to show you guys first hand what I see when taking photos. The Canon F-1 "New" paired with the 35mm 2.8 lens has to be one of my favorite 35mm film camera setups! Hope you guys enjoyed the video, if you did drop a like and comment if you wanna see more! #MinoltaGang

Anybody know the difference between Fuji 1600 and Natura 1600?
@eversontaveras212
@eversontaveras212 5 жыл бұрын
Natura 1600 was made to go with the Natura S Camera and is only available in Japan, although I've seen them online as well on Amazon and eBay. Supposedly Fuji 1600 is repackaged Natura 1600, but be warned, there is a BiG price difference. I haven't personally shot either, but after looking at few shots made with Natura 1600, I'm highly considering picking up a roll.

I've shot both. The natura 1600 is totally different. Way more earthy tones and really more of a portraiture film in some ways.

Love how you interact with people. So much respect and you always seemed to make the person (subject) comfortable and at ease. Much respect! Great shots by the way, definitely inspirational. I live 30 min south of St. Louis. I wish I could comfortably take photos in the city, but I am nervous and St. Louis is like #1 dangerous cities. It’s actually neck and neck with Detroit, so it’s not exactly inviting or comfortable.

Hiyaaa .. I’m a beginner at using film and I’m wondering if when it is dark, do you overexpose by bringing the iso down to get a brighter and more clear picture? For ex. at a concert where it is dark and you are using an iso of 400, do you under or overexpose your camera? sorry if its a stupid question .. I’m clearly new at this and want to learn haha

How do you take photo of strangers and they don't care??
@TonTon.2142
@TonTon.2142 5 жыл бұрын
You said it yourself, my friend: they don’t care. That’s the thing, people are often so busy with their own lives, they don’t notice. Granted, in larger city helps, of course; life is more fast-paced, and you grow accustomed to being surrounded by people. Though, on the photographer’s end, things like confidence and knowing how to blend in are crucial. Added to that, you can’t think of it in terms of “how” or “what will they think.” You just have to do it. You’re a street photographer. You’re capturing the people, places, the life of the city around you. It’s art, you’re exercising your creativity. Sure, be considerate of others. Don’t go shoving cameras in people’s faces. Don’t go window-peeping. There’s a level of tact involved, but I feel that should come naturally. Yes, all of this is much easier said than done, and I’m certainly not an expert. I’ve only aspirations of practicing street photography, but it’s a little different where I’m from, a small town in Iowa. Our “downtown” area consists of about two blocks, and there’s rarely ever a true crowd of people. As a street photographer, I’d stick out like a sore thumb. So, again, going back to being in or nearer to larger city, that’s the big help to making it easier. I mean, it’s possible to do it in small towns, but it’s just not the same. Crowds, events, having a commute/access to public transportation, these things provide so many opportunities for great shots. Think of your favorite street photographers, then ask, where are they from? What city? No one’s gonna say Clear Lake, Iowa. Anyway...

Awesome video like always! I have two questions: - it seems like you're taking some shots pretty quickly after seeing a subject. Are you focusing as you approach what you're going to take a picture of? - do you use any kind of rain gear for your camera? I don't know "weather proof" some of the older 35mm cameras are
@KingJvpes
@KingJvpes 5 жыл бұрын
Eric Price Hey Eric! I’m setting my hyperfocal distance before I shoot through a technique called zone focusing. I’ll make a video on that soon! As for rain gear, unfortunately I do not haha
@GhostintheStacks
@GhostintheStacks 5 жыл бұрын
@@KingJvpes Cool, I look forward to the zone focusing video. I worked as a photojournalist for a few years and I had producers who pressured me to shoot video regardless of weather which resulted in me dropping off some broken cameras to our engineering department from time to time. So I'm little paranoid about shooting in rain!
