People watching this don't know the story. Dan Schneider was explicitly a predator, asked for feet pics on his social media, publicly, for the world to know, from his young fans. Fired, three years later has the gall to announce a new TV show sold. I have to assume that's cancelled after "Quiet on Set" released. Drake Bell made, to Brian Peck a dialogue coach, sexual assault allegations there too.@@Suited_Nat

@@Suited_Nat Have you watched iCarly or Victorious? If so, you will notice the teenaged actors making out multiple times throughout the series in both shows. Why so much making out? I agree, I used to get super frustrated by it but the older I got the more I agree with having adults play the roles. The one that still really rubs me the wrong way aside from it being a crappy rendition of the story, is one where the MC was played by an adult and what would become his love interest was played by a child both were supposed to be 11 years old. That….. was gross, thankfully I don’t think it ever made it to the part where they would have kissed. 🤮

That's debatable. There are lots of movies with children, you can even look at Home Alone or Harry Potter. You just need a proper supervision, that's it. People who found these shows and movies creepy were looked down upon as overly religious and conservative prudes who were over-protective parents with sheltered kids. -- I legit feel like we were being groomed by certain movies/tv shows into thinking certain acts were normal or gave us enviously unrealistic expectations of what life as a kid is supposed to look like especially in the realms of romance/dating, relationships, friendships, and life milestones - too many things were developmentally inappropriate for the age range of the intended audience, cast, and character portrayals. -- No wonder my parents found a lot of kids shows on Nickelodeon and Disney very creepy and unsettling but let me watch anyway so I can fit in with my peers but taught me right from wrong, back then they probably would have been branded as prudes or seen as lightly-prudish by most of Western/American society for disliking the excessive Public Display of Affection (PDA) and suggestive content on movies/shows intended for child audiences with child actors on set, but everything clicked when the Dan Schneider stuff came out. In retrospect it was mostly the Dan Schneider shows on Nickelodeon that were the creepiest, it kinda creeped me out too when I started rewatching some clips/episodes when I got older - you can tell whoever was making these shows definitely had an unsettling foot fetish, but there were definitely creepy shows made by other producers, even at Disney, that creeped my parents out and even me after re-watching them in retrospect, well before these creeps got exposed.

Yea 😭 i was on a nostalgia trip and rewatched victorious a while ago, and when I got to that scene (and the hospital scene later in the episode where the doctors fondle all their feet) I was absolutely baffled. Bro wasn't even TRYING to be subtle about it. And it got worse in later series, there was one clip I saw, I forget the show, where the older brother is going away for college and he's like... Sad he won't get to lick peanut butter off his little sister's toes anymore or something like that?? Idk something with her slathering her toes in peanut butter. And this girl was SUPER YOUNG. Absolutely disgusting. Growing up I saw the characters as like... Basically adults because I was much younger than they were but looking back, they were literally YOUNG CHILDREN!! Even assuming he never touched them he really should still go to jail honestly, because what he made is basically child feti$h p0rn.

The lotion one always gets me 💀 it’s taken from an episode of victorious where trina (? I think that’s her name) and robbi (? the puppet dude I don’t remember names) are in a counselors office and the counselor gets made at them and sprays them (mostly trina) with lotions exactly like this scene.
@Castaspxlla2 ай бұрын
Yes, Trina and Robbie. They accidentally broke the guy working at the food trucks arm and the counselor uses lotion alot, so he used nearby lotion to try and get them to shut up so he could speak. I used to love that show but then everytime I saw Dan's name on the end of the credits the smile disappeared.
