We continue the mini-series to highlight the extreme poverty and the struggles that the residents face at the Parika Sea Dam, East Bank Essequibo. Several families live in the area, which cannot be regularized because it is the government reserve. That means it has to electricity, no access to potable water and the road is in a deplorable state. While some of the residents are finding job opportunities from the boats, some are working out of the area. They all want a better life and are eager to get house lots so they can relocate elsewhere.
