They are actually a big deal worldwide. Their most recent album Metal Galaxy hit #1 on the US Billboard Rock, Metal, and world music charts, and #13 on the Hot 200 charts. And they did a 6 week US tour, with a sold out show at the LA Forum. They're legit

They are huge in Europe and here in the US, their 2019 tour was sold out. Rob Halford (Judas Priest) named them "The Monster Ladies of Metal". A Japanese TV show on them the publisher of a metal magazine said "Babymetal are the most famous Japanese high school students in the world". They have a number of awards primarily for their performances. They are due to begin a European tour in a month or so, and believe it mostly sold-out. My favorite early video is "Megitsune" official, my challenge to you is; When does Su-Metal say "Maidens are not to be Underestimated". Its actually obvious if you pay attention. Rondo of Nightmare (+ Mischief of god intro) and Akatsuki next please (both live from budokan black night)! The first song gives you a 3 minute instrumental solo (awesome!). The second is my personal favorite. ps. nothing better than a reaction which isnt paused, love it!

this song is about conquering your inner demons. if you notice at the end the bodies in white are the three girls. this is so good live also. I have been a fan since 2013 when I heard the song megitsune. they are so good live. saw them at the Forum and cant wait to see them again. any song by them is good. every song is different. Babymetal takes different genre of metal and makes it their own. one more song and you cant control yourself about this band. you wont be disappointed with any song you chose. but stay away from any compilation. like others have said they did a US tour last year with 20 dates mostly sold out and they are doing two day show this weekend in Japan, the 25th and 26th. then they start on a European tour sold out except for a couple places. then they are at a few festivals including download UK again.

Great reaction, as I said in your first Babymetal reaction, you'll find some songs they do that will appeal to you more. They don't do many that sound alike and they may mix in some other genre or musical style with whatever metal genre they've decided on for a given song. I see 'Rondo of Nightmare' has already been suggested (good suggestion) so I'll throw 'Headbanger' live at Legend 1997 in as well (don't let the 1997 throw you off, the show was called that because it was the lead singer's birthday and that was the year she was born - it was actually in December 2013).

For the most part - each song is a different style. They go harder than that.

So the Road to resistance album version features both guitarists of DragonForce, hence the DragonForce feel. BabyMetal doesn't stick with a single sound and you never get bored.

well .... to put it simple , every single one of BABYMETAL song is a new hybrid song.

You may find stuff you love, and some you don't care for. They can change up a lot. That's one of the things I love about them. You never know what you're gonna get so they never bore me. lol

This video actually won MTV Japan, Rock clip of the Year . They alsowon Metal Hammer Award in Europe , 2 years running for Best International Touring Act , and performed 2 songs with Rob Halford , both Judas Priest songs , and were presented the award by Brian May of Queen.

I can't recommend buying their albums enough. They spare no expense on the production. All of their albums are MASSIVE sounding.

This is the first baby metal song I heard and that riff made me instantly pick up my guitar. The song is about like fighting your inner demons which is what the hooded figures are. The people in the hooded robes are the girls inner demons so to speak. I really enjoy babymetal. I got to see lat year on their us tour in Philadelphia. There newest album actually topped the billboard rock? Charts for a few weeks. There are a lot of really good heavy songs. Stay away from gimme chocolate. A lot of people recomend that as a first listen in all honesty I think if that was what I heard first I most likely wouldnt of given them a second listen. I don't understand why that song is so huge.

Try "Sis Anger" I think Lead vocal said in an interview that she loves Bring Me The Horizon Band, so the song is kinda similar to BMTH... and also try "Road of Resistance" which the Dragonforce and Babymetal worked on together :D

One of us, one of us! If you are really interested in more Babymetal, I have 3 suggestions for you: 1.) Rondo of Nightmare (Mischief of Gods): The "Mischief of Gods" part is where the live band really, and I mean REALLY shines! 2.) From Dusk Till Dawn: This was only performed live once and is -really- different from their other songs, but nontheless amazing. 3.) PA PA YA!!: A more recent song - however, word of advice, their newer songs will most likely get you delisted, so you may need to get creative if you plan to react to their more recent stuff. Anyway, have fun! The band is amazing and I love everything about them.

Even they are familiar with BMTH dude, Oliver Sykes is a BABYMETAL fan, several times even they are on the same stage, the last concert in Tokyo and Osaka (Japan) BMTH is a special guest at the BABYMETAL concert. I saw this song on my feed about 10 months ago and had to check it out on name alone. 1 minute in and I was hooked.....totally obsessed and went to 3 of the shows on the US tour.

Check out Akatsuki and The One. Su has a god damn amazing voice and unlike 99.99% of artists these days she can actually hold a clean note without having to Beyonce-wail it to death for her voice not to crack.

Have seen them live twice already, and will see them 3 more times within a month! I would probably recommend the earlier work, like Gimme Chocolate, Megitsune, Iine, and Headbanger, just to hear the different styles, and then some new stuff like Pa Pa Ya and Da Da Dance, just to see how they have evolved more over the years! (and if you want to hear Pa Pa Ya, I would definitely recommend the Glastonbury live video)

In Japan they performed in front of 110,000 fans over two days, they are HUUUUUUUGE in Japan.

Gonna repeat what everyone's saying "Rondo Of Nightmare, Mischiefs of God Intro" ! That def has to be your next BM experience. After that, I highly recommend you check out the Babymetal/Judas Priest APMA 2016 performance or Su's Akastuki solo. It's sick!! Unfortunately, Babymetal's label Amuse doesn't make true MV's like Karate anymore. All their main bangers from previous albums were amazing (Doki Doki Morning, Iine, IDZ, Megitsune) so much character and style in the MV, hella screamed Babymetal thru and thru. But now it's basically just performance MVs with Distortion being the last actual MVs, yet the girls weren't even in it. 🦊🤘🏽🍅
