Keen to try the Spitfires, and stoked they’ve finally made a mid duro wheel. I wonder how these compare to the X97 and X99 wheels for rough asphalt and park. I agree that dragons are a little too soft, especially in a park. I also feel like spitfire and bones kind of give different durometer ratings… spitfire FF 99a feel harder and slower on crust than X99, but in that case, I really prefer X99. And luckily, they still feel good in the park.

Hmm it does seem like spitfires are simply harder than the dragons? That would explain why they were not as fast on the smooth park ground. I had the 99a F4 Tablets which I loved, but they was no way they were 99a lol I did not want to put them down on asphalt. On top of that, there is the 2mm difference on the two sets which can be a surprising amount of difference. I usually ride 54mm, and when I tried my friend's 56mm, it was almost a night and day difference. I was just riding over everything like I was on a bike or something lol

Dragons will feel slow and gummy in a smooth skatepark. The X97 and X99's are the harder versions which are MUCH better for skatepark use. I replaced my F4 99's with X99s. I think the formula gets better in harder duros.
